For manufacturers and fabricators
Answer every RFQ the same day
A buyer sends the same drawing to three shops. Doug answers yours first. He reads your capability sheets, answers lead time and material questions, collects the quantity and due date, and hands your team a clean quote request. He works your sales inbox and your phone, so you don't need a chat box on your site. Each week he also checks who Google and ChatGPT name for your processes, and works on what keeps you off that list.
Can you quote 500 pcs of this bracket in 6061? Drawing attached. Need them by Dec 15.
Thanks, we have the drawing. We machine 6061 and anodize in house. The team will send your quote by Thursday. Do you need material certs with the parts?
Doug · by email, from Capability sheetRFQs answered in minutes, not days
Doug replies to every quote request while your estimator is on the floor. He confirms the drawing came, asks for what is missing (material, quantity, finish, due date), and puts the full request in front of your team.
Your phone, answered during floor hours
Calls get answered after hours too. He takes the RFQ details by voice, rings your sales line first if you want, and transfers a buyer who needs a person now.
The same questions, answered from your sheets
Lead times, minimum orders, materials, tolerances, finishes and certifications come from your capability sheets and spec PDFs. If a question isn't covered, he says so and takes the details.
How he gets you found
Found for your processes and your region
Buyers search by process and place, like 'CNC machining Dayton' or 'sheet metal fabrication near me'. Each week Doug checks Google, Maps, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity for those searches and shows who they name.
A page for each process and material
Doug writes the pages you're missing, like 5-axis machining, aluminum welding or powder coating, with your real tolerances and equipment, and publishes them to a Doug-run site or your WordPress.
Profile and reviews kept current
He keeps your Google profile hours, categories and certifications right, asks happy customers for a review, and replies to the ones that come in.
What owners ask before hiring him
- We don't want a chat box on our website. Can Doug still help?
- Yes. Doug can work only your email and phone. Forward your quotes@ or sales@ mailbox to him and give him a number. The website chat is there if you want it later.
- Will Doug quote prices?
- Only the prices you give him. Most shops turn on team quotes: Doug gives no price, collects the details and the drawing, and your team sends the quote.
- Can Doug check order status?
- Not on his own. He takes the company name and the PO number and hands it to your team, so nobody asks the buyer twice.
- Can buyers send drawings?
- Yes. PDFs and photos stay in the conversation, and Doug names every other attached file, like STEP or DXF, so your team opens the original email. Do not send export-controlled (ITAR) data to Doug. He tells buyers to send those files to your team.
